Currently we are seeking individuals for the following position:

LEAD ENGINEER - INTERIOR/EXTERIORS (ITALY)

Job Responsibilities:
Leads department activities to design new products, modify existing designs, improve production techniques, and develop test procedures.

Confers with management, production, suppliers, and marketing staff to agree engineering feasibility, proposals, cost effectiveness, considering function and quality of the design.

Understands and utilizes an engineering release and change management process.

Must be able to develop and communicate concepts/ideas clearly utilizing hand sketches/verbal/written communication/CAD and CAE data.

Initiates action to prevent the occurrence of any non conformities relating to the product, process and system.

Able to follow and give verbal/written directions, work within a matrixed organization, and work within a team environment.

Identifies and records any problems relating to the product, process and quality systems and maintains an open issue tracking process.

Initiates, recommends or provides solutions through designated channels.

Verifies the implementation of solutions (quality systems).

Presents designs proposals, department work status and plan as required to internal and customer management.

Comply with requirements of the Quality Management System (QMS) in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 specifications.

Identify concerns and initiate corrective actions (through verification) relating to product, process, and quality systems.

Initiate preventative and continuous improvement actions relating to product, process, and quality systems.

Skills Required to be considered:

Bachelor???s degree minimum.
Must have a high degree of accuracy and organization.
Must be multi-task oriented.
Minimum of 10 years experience, preferably in the automotive industry.
Supervisory experience. Experience with various release and quality processes, manufacturing techniques as well and product engineering and design. Excellent organization skills. Strong communication skills both written and oral. Demonstrated problem solving abilities
