FIT (Fully Independent Travel) Coordinator

Reporting to Director of Sales and as an integral part of the Client Services Team, the FIT Coordinator is responsible for creating travel solutions for a broad portfolio of leisure clients, focusing on such specialties as gastronomy, art, history, archaeology, sports, festivals, performances, honeymoons, anniversaries and multi-generational travel. The overarching goal of the FIT Coordinator is to act as a consultant to the Travel Retailer; answering questions, providing advice on the destination, researching travel solutions and creating the best possible itinerary.

Responsibilities:

• Consult with clients on destinations; ensure that all client questions are addressed and anticipate client requests for a given proposal
• Create proposals; prepare cost estimates for FIT travel packages according to client specifications
• Cultivate existing client relationships by providing a high level of customer service
• Increase sales by proactively following up on proposals presented to potential clients
• Work in collaboration with the team in Rome to coordinate the logistics of the FIT's travel
• Finalize and deliver itineraries and travel related documents to client
• Offer product suggestions for new group-oriented marketing materials
